Terms of Service

1. The service

Axle provides accounting automation software for automotive dealerships, including document processing, bank reconciliation, ledger posting, reporting, and related AI-assisted features (the “Service”). The Service is provided on a subscription basis to business customers.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your workspace. You must be authorized to act for the dealership you connect.

3. Your data

You retain all rights to the business data you submit. You grant Axle a limited license to process that data solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You can export your general ledger and records at any time.

4. Automation and professional responsibility

Axle automates bookkeeping workflows and flags exceptions for human review. The Service does not provide tax, legal, or audit opinions, and is not a substitute for a licensed professional. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving your books and filings.

5. Third-party connections

Features that connect to banks, DMS providers, or other third parties are subject to those providers' terms. Bank connections are made through our data providers; Axle does not store your online banking credentials.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach security or access other tenants' data, no reselling without authorization, and no use of the Service to build a competing product.

7. Fees

Paid plans are billed per rooftop as described at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Axle disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Axle's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time; we may suspend or terminate for material breach. After termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

10. Changes and contact
